Frequently Asked Questions
Q)
Are you married?
A)
No.
Q)
Will you marry me?
A)
Only if you bring furniture.
I'm broke and my ex took ALL of my furniture. ALL of it.
I finally bought one of those cheap futons (my boys call it a
crouton) at Wally World, but it hurts my ass. Oh yeah, it
would be really great if you bring your own vacuum cleaner.
I really like those ones from Dyson.
Q)
Why don't you display a
picture or make public appearances?
A)
When I have met DJ's of other
radio stations I have always been disappointed because they
didn't fit the picture I had in my mind. Here's a hint:
if I was tall, dark, and handsome I'd do television instead of
radio.
Q)
I heard a rumor that you are
computer generated - is that true?
A)
I am real, live flesh and
blood.
Q)
Why do you play the songs
that you do?
A)
I play what I like. It
has often been lamented that the large radio stations play what
they believe the masses want to hear. And, of course, they
play music when they are bribed to do so in the form of payola.
The problem with playing for
the masses is that most people have really bad taste. If
you let the majority rule, then you are catering to the lowest
common denominator. I try to play music that grabs you in
some way.
Of course, I have NO aversion
to being bribed. Send me enough money and I will
play anything.
Q)
I heard that you are a
soldier broadcasting from Iraq - is that true?
A)
No. But I fully support
our President and the armed forces and the reasons for which we
are engaged in combat. Hoo-rah!
